Yesterday we celebrated the feast day of our founding order of sisters, the Daughters of the Cross.
Each year on September 8th our new Year 8 students spend time in prayer in the Nun’s Graveyard. Yesterday the Year 8 class of 2020 followed this tradition and gained an insight into the rich legacy left by the sisters in Donaghmore.
At the start of this most unusual and challenging year we pray that the sisters who ministered here in Donaghmore will guide and shelter all those connected with our school.
We know that the Year 8 class of 2020 will continue to be a living example of the mantra of the Daughters to "be kind, be kind, be kind".
As tradition dictates our Year 8s ended the day by receiving a bar of chocolate.
